Ayodhya After Ram Mandir Inauguration

The inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in January 2024 has transformed this ancient city into one of the world's most visited pilgrimage destinations. Millions of Ram bhakts are making their way to witness the divine idol of Ram Lalla in the magnificent new temple. If you're in Varanasi, Ayodhya is just a 4-5 hour drive away — making it a very accessible sacred destination.

Distance and Route from Varanasi to Ayodhya

The distance from Varanasi to Ayodhya is approximately 200 km via NH330. The drive typically takes 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic. We recommend departing from Varanasi by 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM to reach Ayodhya by morning, which is the best time for Ram Mandir darshan.

Ram Mandir Darshan — What to Expect

The new Ram Mandir is a magnificent pink sandstone structure built in the Nagara style of architecture. The main sanctum houses the idol of Ram Lalla (child Ram). The temple complex also includes temples to Hanuman, Surya, Ganesh, and Devi Annapurna within the 70-acre compound.

Important: Registration May Be Required

During peak times (Ram Navami, Diwali, weekends), online registration via the Ram Mandir Trust portal may be required. Our drivers stay updated on the current requirements and will advise you when booking.
